2024-2025 Season Coach Feedback Survey

Coaching Evaluation is an important component of the coach selection pathway. In this inaugural season, the Credit River Capitals Executive would like to collect as much feedback pertaining to coach selection in order to continue our coach selection process for the 2025-2026 and future seasons. Please complete 1 survey per family/per head coach to assist the executive in ensuring that we are delivering on the season’s objectives.

This survey will be kept confidential amongst the Credit River Capitals and I understand that I may be contacted by a member of the executive team to discuss my responses if required.

Please answer the following questions:

Is the coach knowledgeable in the technical aspects and strategy of hockey?

Is their instruction age and level appropriate?

Is the coach well prepared for practices so that maximum instruction is given?

Is the information delivered in practice converted into action during games?

Does the coach use a variety of coaching techniques for individual and/or group instruction?

Does the coach include appropriate development opportunities for both players and goalies?

Does the coach communicate with players in a positive and constructive manner?

Does the coach communicate with parents in a positive and constructive manner?

Does the coach create positive interpersonal relationships with their players?

Does the coach exercise self-control and poise during practices and games?

Are players clearly aware of their roles and the expectations of them?

Does the head coach provide sufficient player/skill development either internally or though external instructors?

Do you feel the head coach offered a fair and unbiased tryout/evaluation process during the selection of their team?

Were you satisfied with the team budget and explanation thereof?

Would your child continue to play for this team if the head coach were to remain the same for next season?
