Capitals bring home Gold!!!
The U14 AAA Credit River Capitals added to their list of accomplishments by winning the gold medal at the 2024 Ontario Winter Games in Thunder Bay this past weekend. Capturing the gold medal comes on the heels of their second, and back to back, SCTA/OMHA league championships.
Despite outshooting their opponent 33-24 in the opening game of the weekend, the Caps fell 6-2 to the Northwest Explorers. This would be the extend of their struggles as the team went undefeated for the rest of the competition with wins over Team NOHA 1-0, Ottawa Myers Automotive 7-6, Northwest Explorers 3-2 and finally a 3-2 win over Team NOHA in the gold medal game.
