Team Trainers wanted for the 2024/2025 season!
Are you interested in supporting young athletes in reaching their athletic goals?
The Credit River Capitals AAA Minor Hockey Association is hoping to fill the position of team trainer for their U14, U15, U16 and U18 hockey teams for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. As a team trainer, this individual would be responsible for ensuring the safety of all players during hockey-related activities, both on and off the ice. The team trainer must respond appropriately to any injuries that arise as part of game play or practice, and communicate with players, parents, and team personnel to ensure safe and appropriate return to sport participation. A qualified candidate would have academic and occupational experience in the sports or medical field; including but not limited to chiropractor, physiotherapist, athletic therapist, massage therapy, nursing and/or strength and conditioning coach.
Ontario Minor Hockey Association registration requirements include Standard First Aid and CPR-C or higher, Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, and the completion or willingness to complete the following Ontario Hockey Association Course:
-HTCP (Hockey Trainers Certification Program) Level 1 Course
-Respect In Sport, Activity Leader Course
-Gender Identity and Expression Course
The ideal candidate is available for all games, including regular season, playoffs, and tournaments of the 2024-2025 season. Candidates should note that some travel may be involved for game play. The successful candidates will be compensated competitively for both their time, expertise, and contribution to the success of the Credit River Capitals Minor Hockey Association.
